Draught @ Bottlecraft Little Italy, San Diego, CA Pours yellowish orange with a small foamy head. Aroma of juicy fruits, zesty lemon, spices and citrus. Taste is fruity, zesty and lemony with some orange peel and spicy notes. Finish is smooth, and a bit stuffy with some spicy notes. Refreshing.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours Pours hazy copper with a slight beige? head. Aroma of resin and fruit. And caramel. Med + body. Flavor is quite malty, especially as the quaff drains away. The hop is "strong" fruit - it’s not citrus, and it’s not ? Maybe it’s odd fruits. But it’s really strongly flavored. Each quaff is rather malty/sweet, but as it drains things go bitter. To some extent it’s like sucking on wood. Flavors move around. I think we need to say this is complex. Cactus is coming to mind. Enough. Damn flavorful in a non-NW IPA manner. We may have to start talking about SoB IPAs (South of the Border, not what you thought!) Last minute thought - maybe tea is an appropriate descriptor. As one of the many flavors.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours nearly opaque copper with a large creamy/foamy beige/tan head. Through an inch of foam the aroma seems chocolate and nutty. Just a guess. Med + body. Flavor is light pine, earthy, some chocolate - more than hints. It’s malty in a toasty/roasty way, but there seems to be a lot of hop, or at least enough to keep the malt down. Might be a touch of greasy nut, or not. Seems like something stranded between a black IPA and a porter. It probably qualifies for brown, and it’s definitely a nice ale whichever style it might be.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a creamy/foamy dark tan head. Aroma seems a mix of resin and fruit, with a somewhat burnt malt backbone. Seems full bodied. Flavor is dark chocolate, malt and arguably resin hop. Might be a coffee touch. No skimping on ingredients here. Finishing malty but towards dry and bitter. Nice stuff. Could be one of the better Black IPAs around.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dirty hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is orange peel and coriander, but it seems like it’s a bit cooked. Med body. Definitely zest, but coriander seems to have almost left. It is dry. I’ve certainly had other wits I enjoyed less.

Hazy yellow. Aroma is coriander, wheaty, slightly fruity. Starts sweet, slightly doughy with coriander and tangerine notes, then a tartness kicks in, and it’s not entirely coherent.

Hazy light amber, big head. Berryish hop nose, touch of yeast. Quite sweet, chewy light crystal with a fruity, berryish hop character. Far too chewy in the end.
