Old bottle at home (tht 2015), I think from Countbeer? Beer came gushing out of the bottle. Color was still mostly clear golden. Off white head. Aroma’s of dried fruit, sweet, sourish, a bit herbs. Retronasal it’s sweet, a bit herbs. Flavor is rather sweet, fruity. Medium bodied. Apart from the gushing not even too bad.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - Winter 2014, at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20170808) The beer poured deep dark brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, vanilla caramel, chocolate, aniseed and Belgian style yeast. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were dark chocolate, raisins, Belgian style yeast, aniseed, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had raisins, vanilla and bitterness. A pleasant strong brew that hid its high ABV rather well.

Tap at Arendsnest, 3rd August 17. Pours dark copper. Aroma is sweet booze soaked fruit, caramel. Taste is sweetish, then dry, smoked fruit, caramel. Quite nice

22/07/2017 @home - 33cl bottle from the Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Dark amber coloured with small fading tanned head, leaving a creamy rim. Nose is malts, caramel, sweet. Taste is malts, caramel, some sweet fruits, hint of chocolate and vanilla, no wood. Less complex thand expected but good.

Very good, very dense light-yellow head over very carbonated clear golden beer with textbook lace. Bit lactic, diary, faintly herbal and even more faintly grassy. Quite bitter(ish), refreshing, herbal, quite dry. At first quite pleasing, but in the end, a short burst of good hops notwithstanding, it proves rather empty tastewise. Quite carbonated, light body, but as said, apart from some bitterness, flavours fade away rather quickly. Refreshing and not sweet - so far OK. But the rest...

Sampled @ NL Speciaalbier Festival Den Bosch 2017. Nice dark red color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly a hint of red fruit, a hint of caramel and decently bitter. Ok beer.

schenkt zwart met volle schuimige licht bruine kraag, aroma van chocolade, geroosterde en gebrande mouten, laurier, cacao,. Smaken zijn redelijk zoet, veel chocolade, melkchocolade, lactose, cacao, plakkerig, redelijk dik, iets laurier, redelijke moutige basis, iets van spekjes zoetigheid, redelijke body, lage co2, lange chocolade afdronk.

Fles geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een bruin licht troebel bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een sterke whisky geur en een aanwezige whisky smaak met wat zoets erin.

330ml bottle, from trade - sorry, can’t remember who! Pours a hazy brown, large pale tan head. Aroma has good dark fruits, sweet yeast, spice. Taste is well-balanced with a blossoming, layered sweet quadrupel character, rounded with a good woody alcohol warmth and sweet bourbon hints. Hugely enjoyable quad.

Bottle (from hetbiermoment). Pours dark browin with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, metallic, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramelt, malt, candy, some cocoa powder. Finish is sweet. Alcohol is well covered. Overall: good, bit sweet maybe.
