Description
Muifelbrouwerij is located in The Netherlands in Oss, Noord-Brabant. Our mission is to develop, produce and sell tasty and unique craft beers. We started in 2007 and we are extremely proud on our brewery and our craft beers. In our head-quarters at the Vikingenweg in Oss we have a tasting room, our warehouse and since January 2019 our own brewhouse, fermentation tanks and filling line.

The name Muifelbrouwerij might need some explanation. Muifel is a non-existing word and is derived from Megen and duivel. Megen is a small city in The Netherlands where the brewery started on small scale (20 liter brews) for private consumption. Duivel is Dutch for Devil. Muifel was the name of one of the beers from the early days, inspired by the famous Belgian Duvel beer.

Dark blond colour. Thin lacy head. Flavour a bit yeasty at first but then sweetness comes through. Not much to this one, it feels incomplete.

Slightly hazy orange golden colour, off-white head. Fruity aroma, bubblegum, banana, pronounced yeast aromas. Quite sweet, malty, light bitter flavour. Light iron. Finish banana and malts, with the iron touch becoming more pronounced.
Not bad, but not really delivering something to excite me either.

33cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Clear dark orange color, decent sized white to off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Don’t get much aroma. Taste is heavy though! Malts, alcohol, peat, whiskey. Strong carbonation, full body.

31/XII/12 - 33cl bottle from Mitra van Bergen (Eindhoven) @ home - BB: 22/VI/17 (2012-1448)

Clear ruby red beer, small sediment floating around under a huge fluggy yellow beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, caramel, bit nutty, milk chocolate, bit earthy. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of chocolate, bit sugary, some mocha, cocoa powder, sweet touch, citrus, pretty bitter as well. Aftertaste: dark chocolate, fruity, dried fruits, little soapy, some citrus, quite some banana.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Bert’s Bierhuis. Light red brown with a beige head. Spicy aroma with lots of molasses and caramel. Taste is not as sweet as expected, quite bitter with chocolate notes in the finish. Aftertaste is also quite bitter and lasting. Great quadrupel!
