Description
Muifelbrouwerij is located in The Netherlands in Oss, Noord-Brabant. Our mission is to develop, produce and sell tasty and unique craft beers. We started in 2007 and we are extremely proud on our brewery and our craft beers. In our head-quarters at the Vikingenweg in Oss we have a tasting room, our warehouse and since January 2019 our own brewhouse, fermentation tanks and filling line.

The name Muifelbrouwerij might need some explanation. Muifel is a non-existing word and is derived from Megen and duivel. Megen is a small city in The Netherlands where the brewery started on small scale (20 liter brews) for private consumption. Duivel is Dutch for Devil. Muifel was the name of one of the beers from the early days, inspired by the famous Belgian Duvel beer.

Draught @ TBF ’11. Cloudy yellow colour. Smells pretty fresh, hoppy. Tastes nice and bitter, there are definately some nice hops in there.

Draught @ Tilburgs Bierfestival 2011. Contacted brewer on this beer. He said it was not completely finished, it was still developing. When asked for further information, he answered the following: "8% alcohol, dry hopping with Perle and style, well it’s a bitter (43 IBU) low fermented (not sure this is the correct English translation, in Dutch it’s ’ondergistend’). I’m not really interested in styles." Color is a little hazy light yellow. Smell malts, grains and a little sweet. Fresh, malty lightly bitter taste. Medium body, carbonation medium to full.

It’s an easy to drink triple. Not much to really hate. Nothing special about it also. Average.

Tap @ KBC ’11 Den Bosch. I usually love these kind of hops. This one was a bit boring. Smell was nice, colour also. Bit lacking in taste.

Tap @KBC Den Bosch 2011. I was eager to taste this one and it didn’t let me down at all. A very nice IPA. The mouthfeel could be a bit better, to me it lacked body. Other than that it’s a great IPA.

Clear dark brown beer, light reveals a dark amber hue. Yellowish head. Aroma of malts, lots of caramel, some liquorice (trekdrop), and prominent alcohol. Sweet flavour, slightly bitter, caramel, malts, slight liquorice, rather thin for a quadrupel. Nice finish, dry and bitter with some alcohol warmth. (From 30cL bottle)

Hazy, light orange colour. Bit of yeast in the aroma. In terms of sharpness and carbonation this is similar to Hoegaarden. This beer however has a touch of sweet banana in the finish.

Slightly hazy orange colour. Aroma of fresh zesty hops and a little bit of bitter orange oil. Refreshing balance of sharp and bitter. A touch of fruity sweetness in the finish. Low carbonation.
