Taste is slightly dry grassy, weeds, minerals, bark, pine needles, moss, leafs, hay, flowers, hops, grass. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly watery and harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Boring.

330 ml bottle, as Dahls Lille Bjørn Juleøl, from Helgø MENY Sola. ABV is 4.6%, IBU 20. Brewed with aquavit spices (star anise, coriander, fennel and caraway), hop is Sorachi Ace, Belgian ale yeast. Deep reddish brown colour, small off-white head. "Dusty" and dryish aroma, notes of said spices, but not as strong as expected. Thin mouthfeel. Medium dry flavour, moderate notes of said spices. Decent enough to drink, but hardly a beer I’ll buy again.

Bottle. It’s a hazy deep golden to amber colored beer with a small, white head. The aroma is a bit on the bready, caramel side, with citrusy, resiny hops on the side. It’s bitter on the palate, medium to full-bodied, with a pleasant carbonation. Bread, caramel, hints of honey and very lightly roasted malts, and a pleasant citrusy, piney hoppyness in the flavor. Sort of metallic towards the finish, but not in a bothering way. I’m more concerned about the malts domination, and how it sort of crashes with the hops. Not a beer I’ll buy again at the store, but I might drink it at a pub lacking more interesting choices. 170506

Bottle. Unclear golden with a decent white head. Aroma is rather typical spicy Saison yeast with some fruit in the background. Flavor is smooth and distinct spicy yeast Saison, it’s not really bitter but there is some hop flavor here as well. Fine balanced body, nice aftertaste and all over a nice balanced beer. A very tasty and drinkable Saison and the best beer from EC Dahls so far.

Bottle, seven months before bbd. Pours clear dark golden, with a big, off white head. Aroma is zesty hops, with herbs, berries and grassy notes, as well as sweet malts with bread, toffee and some burned sugary notes. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is crisp, citrusy hops, with herbs and perfumey notes, as well as malts with cereals and caramel. Short piney finish.

Botttle contributed by, and shared with, OE at OSB 03.05.17. Cloudy peach colour. Foamy off-white head and lacing. Aroma of lemon, lime, pine shoots and mint. Taste of tropical fruits, lemon, lime and peach. Mint is returning in aftertaste.

330 ml bottle, from Rema 1000, Tau. ABV is 4.6%. Pale golden colour, only the slightest haziness. Moderate white head. Moderate aroma of herbal hops, hints of citrus. Light bodied as expected. Refreshing dry flavour, citrussy and herbal hops. Moderate bitterness. Not exceptional, but certainly a good thirstquencher.

Bottle. Slightly unclear yellow golden body with a big white head that disappears fast leaving curtains. Not very strong, but nice aroma of tropical fruit, mango and some pale malt. Quite light flavor with a distinct hoppy flavor, tropical and citric fruit, light pale malt and pleasant bitterness. Medium body and OK aftertaste. Nice and refreshing, could easily go for a hoppy Saison, APA whatever session thirst quencher.
