On draft at Jakes on Main in Danville. Pours a pale cloudy amber. Citrus hop aroma. Some light pine notes with plenty of bitter grapefruit rind. A very respectable IPA.

22 oz. bottle, sent from TURDFERGUSON (thanks a lot, Sam), pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of moderate bourbon, vanilla, molasses, and almost a peanut butter note to it. Flavour is fairly light for a BBA stout, with the peanut butter notes, molasses, and vanilla. Quite light-bodied and watery for the style, with a fairly thin palate - body isn't very robust. Finishes on notes of vanilla and toasted nuts. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Nose/taste of roast chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oatmeal, milk chocolate and toffee. Nose is rich. Taste is a bit disappointing with mostly lightly toasted oatmeal, milk chocolate, oak and a red vinous note that seems out of place. Body is a little thin.

Aroma is awfully grainy, especially for a Tripel, stewed apples and tomatoes underneath. Clear amber, thin head. Sweet grain and pie crust, but with a touch of DMS, pumpkin notes. I swear a detected cinnamon, with orange and clove on the finish. Were this a pumpkin ale, the flaw could be concealed, but it is not, and it isn’t. Really strangely, this drinks like a pumpkin ale, hardly a Tripel. Something is not right.

Bomber from the brewery. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of caramel malts, smoke, bubblegum and spice. The taste is toasted malts, nuts, a smoky almost woody note, spruce, spices. Medium bodied. Didn’t expect this much smokiness, but its still a pretty nice beer.
