Bottle @ Odense Tasting, November 2012. Pours deep ruby amber with a small white head. Spice hell. Anis, caramel, nelliker and cinnamon. Medium bodied. I wonder why Svaneke wants to be a part of this!

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a small, dense, off-white head. Some caramel in the aroma, with a touch of something spiced. Quite weak and uninteresting. That goes for the flavor too, with caramel maltyness dominating. There’s a touch of spicyness, and some dried fruits. Medium body, quite dry, with caramel and some dried fruits in the end. Some spices too. Well, I’m sure I can find a better beer anywhere in Denmark, but it’s far from bad. 121110

Bottle. Pours hazy light cobber with small offwhite head. Aroma is vague malt, anise and butterscotch. Taste is light sweet and light acidic. Body is oily with good carbonation. Finish is medium long with notes of anise and malt. A bit boring, but it gets better when it warms up slightly.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small, short lived off white head. Aroma is caramel, annis seed and light phenolic. Solid annis seed flavoured, medium dry, light phenolic and flat malty. Bitter, dry and liqourice finish.
