Two liter bottle from a market/bazaar in Tashkent. Clear brown color, light brown coca cola head. Aroma of spiced toasted brown bread. Taste is swet, bready, mixed spice, seems to be more than just rye. More interesting that the other commercial kvass I've tried here.

1 litre PET bottle. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, grain, a little buttery. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, malt. Light bitter finish. Funny name (in the USSR (and subsequently the ex-USSR) ‘barkhatnoe’ (velvet) was a generic name for dark lagers). This is closer to ‘yantarnoe’ (amber).

4/III/23 - 45cl can as a gift, shared @ BBGG Winter 2023 ed. (Tim’s place), as 'Red Sun Velvet', but I think there's only one. BB: 26/II/23, canned: 30/VIII/22 (2023-197) Thanks to Jochen for the can!

Clear blond orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, a bit sweet impression, oxidized, some cardboard. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: rather sweet start, very malty, grains, a bit oxidized, meh. Aftertaste: malty, cardboard, more oxidation, not very good. But hey, country tick, YES!

Can at Gent tasting. 2nd Kyrgyzstan beer ever, yeah 🤪. Clear amber-golden color, very small white head. Smell and taste malts, light caramel hints, brown candy sugar distantly, moderately bitter hints. Actually not too bad. Had way worse.
