We not only offer our own beers on tap, but many other guest beers from around the world that we share our 40 taps with. We feature flights of our own beers which can be enjoyed in the bar, restaurant or on our heated outdoor patio. Come in for the beer, stay for the food, and discover your Abnormal side.

Can from one of our Beer Advent Calendars, cannot recall which one but this must be the very last Christmas beer that has evaded me. Consumed at home Sunday 12th May 2024 outside gardening. We had Smoked Char Sui (smoked yesterday for 6-7 hours) with Special Fried Rice, and shortly for dessert a Rhubarb Pie and Rhubarb Ice Cream. Pours black with a huge big bubbled cappuccino coloured head. Huge amount of coffee on the nose, nice roastiness, but there is a lovely roasty and bitter tang. Smooth with a little fruitiness, a little milky edge, but wow so much coffee.

Can from Beer Republic (advent calendar).
A: hazy black, small, beige head.
A: coffee, cigarettes, toast, chestnut.

F: earthy hops, ash, nuts, coffee bean.
P: medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation.
Quite roasty but highly drinkable still.

Can via Beer Republic. Vrry nice dunkel. Med-thin body, medium carbonation. Dryish, but with a solid caramelly malty base, medium bitterness and med-light sweetness. Moderate caramelly nutty maltiness, a hint of roast. Tasty, easy drinking. Quite good.

Bright yellow colour with big fluffy head. A very well balanced hoppy blond ale. Solid malty base but with prominent hop notes. Floral, fruity and with a bitter aftertaste.

In der Nase sehr intensiv Espresso, optisch natürlich pechschwarz, recht fluffiger Schaum. Im Trunk deutlich Kaffee, milchig, Lakritz, hinten süß, passt.

Can from Advent calendar drunk while testing my folding home theater sound absorber in front of the door with The Matrix lobby scene. Darkest black-brown, big tan head. Complex roasty coffee and cacao nose, unsurprisingly. Great smooth flavor, well rounded with hints of all the above, mildly sweet. Big mouthfeel but could do without the lactose, it's not really needed.

12 fl. oz. can from the Beer Republic advent calendar. Jet black in the glass with a more than one finger thick beige head. Intensive coffee and milk choco aroma. More coffee with some lactose at the first sip. Some fruity elements in the background. Litle bit dry. Low to zero carbonation. Fruity sweetness, nearly sticky to the end. Nice one.

Bottle, no obvious date. Sometimes things show up at funny times here. Oily pour. Black, a brown head is very soon gone. Aroma of nuts, sweet shop spices, mocha and some roast. Well short of syrupy and only sweetish with quite a lot of bitterness - some of it coffee and roasted. Low carbonation. Despite the aroma it's mostly roasted malt and mocha with a fair bit of overt alcohol (although not heaps for nearly 14%). But the nuts and spices add a touch - very much where I'd want them to be. A bit wearing after 200ml. Good.
