Church Farm, Budbrooke, CV35 8QL, England
Description
We love beer as much as you do, as such our beers are full of flavour and made with passion. Unlike our mass produced counterparts, we brew by hand, the traditional way. We use water from the farm’s well, locally sourced malt and hops and just add time and dedication to create a cracking pint.
Church Farm Brewery is a family run craft brewery located on the family farm on the outskirts of Warwick.
In November 2012 we sold our herd of dairy cattle and converted the milking equipment into a microbrewery, we’ve never looked back since.

Basic gear, not especially vibrant but perfectly drinkable, especially given the ABV. Had some citrus peel, pale bread, hints of bitter pine needles. Drinks fine.

330ml bottle from Lapworth Wines. Light cloudy gold, small white head which leaves a reasonable top. Aroma is piney, earthy, citrus, mild spice; interesting. Taste is bitter tangy citrus zest, pine, floral. Pepper and marmalade finish. I like it. Moderate body and carbonation, slight oiliness on palate. Its ok. I like the zest and pepper notes to this one although the aromatic pine that comes though is slightly overdone.

Draft at the Tap and Tandoor, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is malt, funky yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a grainy, gluey, light floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Over medium bodied with average carbonation. I’d love to add a point to my rating just for the name alone!

33cl bottle from Warwick Real Ale. Appearance - high fill and a bit lively on opening culminating in a big Mr Whippy head. Nose - lemon and light sherbet. Taste - definitely sherbet and a sour infected taste. Palate - light bodied, dry zesty, and unfortunately infected. Overall - unfortunately not what the brewer had intended.

330ml bottle from the Co-Op. Poured a hazy light golden orange colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeasty, light citrus. The flavour is light bitter and sour, with a crisp, grainy, yeasty, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. No way is this an English bitter and it was clearly mildly infected anyway. Very poor.
