Cask at EBF Easter 26. Aroma is not what you'd expect - very spicy as opposed to custard. Flavourwise it's also spicy over custard and coffee. Light-medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Yeahh... I really don't get the Portuguese pastry, way too much spice.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with a medium sized almost white head and good lacing. Malts are the mainstay in the aroma alongside hints of ginger and mango. In the mouth it is mainly sweet but with a little underlying sharpness. Floral hops and malts vie for attention in the flavour plus herbs, kiwi and tropical fruit. Hints of grapes and pine lead to a slightly dry finish. This is reasonable.

Keg at Crafty's, Darlington. Gluten Free. Hazy yellow golden colour, white foam head and aroma of pineapple, lemon-lime citrus, hops. Taste is malt, caramel, juicy fruits, zesty lemony-lime citrusy, pine, with hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying hoppy citric bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Dark brown, near black with a frothy / creamy tan head and a lovely sweet cinder toffee aroma. Smooth and creamy, sweet milk chocolate and toffee, mellow roasted malt, just a hint of bitterness and a dry finish.
