Bottle. Golden colour with some white bubbles. Aroma is alcohol, apple, sugar. Flavour is alcohol, apple, sugar, vineous. Full body. Nice beverage.

Bottle 500ml. clear glass @ [ Fastelavn Smagning - Carnival Tasting - Ulfborg ].Clear medium orange yellow colour with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, wood, sweet apple, light to moderate alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, apple. Flavor is a bit like a thin icecider, IMO quit good. Body is medium to full, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20120218]

Aroma is moderate apple, dry apple, light alcohol - almost like cider with a squezz vodka. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, apple, dry dry, white wine alike ! Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. 500 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 19%. The label does not say anything about this being a fortified cider / apple wine (with distilled alcohol added), nor anything about the "ice cider" method being used, but it is rather amazing if it has fermented to 19%. Yes, I added it to the RB database, but I am prepared that it might have to go. Golden colour, no carbonation. The aroma is first boozy / alcoholic, after a minute in the glass the aroma is surprisingly moderate - dusty, with notes of apples of course, but not nearly as intense as I expected. The flavour, on the other hand, is definitely intense and concentrated, loads of sweet apples, oak and alcohol, hints of young sherry. Okay to accompany apple pie and ice cream for dessert, I guess - but I doubt that I will buy this apple wine again.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with no head. Aroma is sweet apple fruity and light citrusy note. Thick sugarish apple fruity. Sweet and lingering fruity into the finish.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours a clear yellow with no head. Sweet subtle apple aroma. Solid body, very, very sweet sherryish apple accents, somewhat oxidized with a very boozy finish. I bet this is fortified. 180212

Bottled. A dark golden beer with thin beige head. The aroma has notes of apples, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, sirup, apples, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle @ Fastelavnssmagning 2012, Ulfborg. Pours clear golden with a off white head.Heavy acetone, alcohol and apples. Flavor is a bit better. Warm and a bit hot but also a hint of vanilla and red apples.
