Taster at Beasts & Brews. Pours a clear, light brown color, with a medium, frothy, off-white head. The nose is allspice, rhum agricole (grassy and funky rum), plantain, and caraway. Sweet and yeasty, with a light, crisp bitterness. Odd, but enjoyable.

10 ounce at the brewery - dark amber pour - innocuous sweet malt character, some caramelized sugars, a slight fruitiness, some peaty quality on the tail end - the middle has a sharp acidity that fades by the finish, but kind of ruins the experience overall.

Pint at the brewery - hazy gold - deeply dank and tropical, with a lot of pineapple, mango - lots of peppery character, but also an off-putting cattiness - moderate sweetness - it’s okay.

Tap. Pours clear reddish black, medium creamy tan head, great lacing. Aroma is blueberry syrup indeed. Interesting. But then you try it. Blueberries dominate. Not even maple breaks through. Medium body, tad watery.

Taste at Beasts & Brews. Clear, golden color, with a small, frothy, khaki head. The nose is rye, orange zest, pineapple, black pepper, cane sugar, and straw. Not very sweet, with a big, sharp bitterness. Bracing, but kinda strange.
