Fra fat på Cafe Sara (Oslo), jan-17: lett uklar kobbergylden med flott skum som varer. Krydret aroma og smak med deilig balanse, fylde og ettersmak. Funky, med krydder, malt og urter som brennenesle. Delikat bitterhet og halvtørr avslutning. Meget lettdrikkelig. Som Bowie selv beholdt den friskheten til siste dråpe.

Flaske 500 fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Batch 81. Delt med Egil på Lillehøgda 12 Jan 17 som tilbehør til ribbemiddag. Ultramørkebrun. Middels høyt skum med litt farge. Aroma av plommer. Smaken karamell & mørk frukt. God - men kanskje for søt. Litt julestemning i denne!

Sampled at Gunnfryds Barmy Army New Year’s ticker party 2017. Unclear dark golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma has butterscotch, popcorn and caramel malt. Flavor has a lot of butterscotch, sweet malt and slightly harsh bitterness. Not much fruit recognized here. Medium body. Rather boring, not very nice and a big disappointment from this brewery this time.

500ml bottle, batch 81, 6.5 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Clingy lacing from a fast declining fawn-coloured head. Clear mahogany coloured body. Modest aroma of forest and herbal hops. Brown malty flavours joined by prunes and earth. Drying malt-accented ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant Yuletide feel (Tromsø 07.01.2017).

Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, caramel and some fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel, yeasty and hint of popcorn. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. An unclear, dark golden to amber colored beer with a dense, beige head. The aroma is lightly fruity, with caramel, bread and some nuts. Hints of popcorn in the flavor, with caramel, bread and nuts, with a good dash of fruityness. It’s medium bodied, soft and pleasantly carbonated, with a lasting fruity, caramel and bread finish. 500 ml bottle. Black body with a big, fluffy beige head. Aroma of medium roasted, dark malt and chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet, dark, mild roasted malt, chocolate, hint of coffee and moderate bitterness. Medium body and slightly dry aftertaste of dark malt. An average stout in my book.
