Stavanger 220716. Golden color with an off-white head. Aroma is yeast, malt, fruit, hop. Flavor is yeast, fruit, malt, straw, hay, grass, caramel. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Patricks 030516. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, hop. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, hop, yeast pine. Medium body. Nice beer.

Pours hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and hint of butterscotch. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy

Bottle. A gusher, producing an unclear dark amber to brown body under a dense, light beige head. The aroma is rather toffee-ish, close to butterscotch, with coffee some dried fruits and a yeasty, fruity touch. It’s semi-sweet on the palate, with caramel, toffee, notes of coffee-grit and a touch bitterness. It’s full to medium bodied and heavily carbonated. Lasting toffee-dominated finish. Interesting, but sure not the best from this brewery. 160806

On tap @ Cafe Sara. On the tap it stood Jimmy Black / Pensjonisten but was told by the nice people behind the desk that this was two different brews and that I'm now having Pensjonisten(?) Guess I just have to take their word for it. Anyhow, in the glass this is a deep a deep dark ruby colored one. It's cloudy and it has a small quickly islandy beige lacing head. Smells quite chocolate and cocoa infused in a way. Dark chocolate wrapper with hints of both vanilla and wood. A nice roasted aroma. A fair amount of red berries in the taste a first, then it changes character completely going really roast and cocoa dry. Hmm, that's quite interesting and nice actually. It's light oily in the mouth, no idea what the abv is, but it feels perhaps a little light and it's soft and prickling on the carbonation bubbles. Really easy to drink this. Flavorful and leaving my mouth really sweet and roasted. A gentle hoppy balance to the darkness makes this even more interesting. Has to be some sort of black IPA /Stout hybrid. 50cl bottle at Larvik Mikrobryggeri. Pours hazy red with a modest, pinkish head. Funky fruity aroma with blackcurrant and hints of Brett. Moderate sweet with nice berry flavour and acidity. Nice & refreshing beer for a hot summer afternoon.

200ml draught at Cafe Sara. Cloudy apricot coloured body. Low off-white head leaving crocheted lacing behind. Moderate aroma of citrus, orange and lemon. Mid-sweet passion fruity flavours joined by a touch of grapefruit and lemon. Smooth fruity bitterness to the ending. Fine bodied. Nice, good drinking (Oslo 16.05.2016).
