Tap @ Patricks. Quite clear dark brown body with a nice, lacing tan head. Aroma has malt, chocolate, toast and some yeast. Nice and pleasant flavor of sweet, medium roasted malt, toast, chocolate, some fruit and balanced bitterness. Fine body and good aftertaste. A fine rather robust porter that also feels smooth at the same time.

On tap at Patrick’s. A dark, dark brown beer with a dense, small head leaving lacing. The aroma has a good dash of dark dried fruits, some coffee grit and coffee, dark chocolate and a good dash of licorice. Almost more on the stout side I’d say. It’s full bodied and very smooth on the palate, softly carbonated and semi sweet. Lots of licorice in the flavor too, with roasted malts, some dark chocolate and coffee grit. A nice bitterness is lurking in the far back. Some piney hops too. Lasting roasted finish with licorice. An unusual brown ale, but nice anyway. 160415

Nice powerful evening sipper. Nice with some cheese.
Nice deep golden color with a fine off white head. Solid intensity in the aroma with a lot of floral notes. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Floral, grapefruit, pine and toffee in the flavor.

50cl bottle from Meny Søndersrød, Helgeroa. Pours hazy deep golden to orange with a large, bubbely head. Fruity aroma dominated by citrus, some yeasty notes, hints of tropical fruits, malt and caramel. Moderate sweet with lots a citrus and a fairly strong bitterness. Again a bit to lively carbonation for my taste. Feels a bit unbalanced, but still quite tasty.

50cl bottle from Meny Søndersrød, Helgeroa. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a large, bubbely head. Fruity and fairly yeasty aroma with mild grainy notes, hints of citrus and herbs. Moderate sweet with fairly mild flavours, a yeast seems to be a bit to dominating, but a quite nice bitterness. Medium body and lively carbonation, almost fizzy, certainly too much for my liking. Fair enough, and quite drinkable all together.

40cl on tap at Sandar Haandverksbryggeri - Brygghuset, Sandefjord. Clear mahogany with beige head. Malty and slightly fruity aroma with lots of caramel, some mild hoppy notes and hints of herbs. Sweet and caramelly with a rather mild bitterness. Fairly drinkable, but on the boring side.
