50cl bottle from Meny, Helgeroa. Pours slightly hazy golden with a modest, white head. Mild fruity and malty aroma with some floral notes and hints of citrus, herbs and caramel. Moderate to medium sweet, rather mild flavours and light bitterness, but easy to drink. Fairly pleasant and refreshing. Fra fat på Mi2 Cardinal, des-15: brunsvart med flott lysebrunt skum som varer. Nydelig aroma av dessertsjokolader og ferskbrygget høykvalistets dessertkaffe. Smaken er også helt topp - halvtørr, slank, velbalansert og med en deilig munnfølelse. Jeg heller innpå med den største glede og sørger for en påfyll.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.11.15. Ebony. Pale brown head. Fine aroma and taste of chocolate sauce, dark chocolate and vanilla. Good bitterness in taste. Bitterness, dark chocolate and vanilla lingering on.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with dense beige head. Aroma of dark bread, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Tastes a bit sweet, but well balanced by hop and roasted bitterness. A decent porter.

Bottled@AIH53 (Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Reddish brown colour, mediumsized brown head, which leaves lace. Aroma is sweet fruits, caramel, toffee and malts. Flavour is very dryish grassy/hayish hops and some sweet malts, which doesn’t manage to balance the hops up. Rather unbalanced.

Bottled 500ml (AIH53, from Vm Kirkenes)
Murky brown-amber color steady beige head. Aroma has lots of caramalt, berries and fruity notes. Medium to full-bodied. Lots of caramel, light unclean note, overriped fruits and nice bitter aftertaste. Heavy amber ale not so useful for any purposes.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy dark brown with a solid off-white head. Aroma of pine needles, some tropical fruits, citrus, dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Tastes bitter. Needs more aroma hops for being a good BIPA.

Aroma of smoke, dark bread, some chocolate, plums, coffee, roasted malt, phenols. Some sweetness, medicine-like bitterness. Re-rated 2017-01-06: Shared bottle at home. Pours hazy dark copper with little off-white head. Aroma of dark bread, dark dried fruits, some chocolate, acetone, esters. Tastes sweet with balancing bitterness, medium bodied, dry mouth feel.

Mørk brun tåkete med lavt minimalt beige skum. Lukter trevirke, mørke frukter og noe sitrusskall. Svært bitter, lite sødme, noe mørk frukt. Bitterheten sitter lenge. Savner mer fruktighet.
