Bottle. It’s an unclear, orange-golden beer with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is maltysweetish, with resins and orange peel. Quite bitter on the palate, as it should be, with enough pale malts and sugary notes to deal with it. Pine cones, resins and orange peel. Full body and a pleasant carbonation. Lasting, dry finish. A decent beer indeed, but a tad boring I think. Could easily drink more of this. 150228

Bottle 500ml. [ As Laagen Juleøl ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, malt, earthy malt. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, earthy malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141220]

50cl bottle from Meny, Oslo City. Pours slightly hazy brownish golden with a large, fluffy head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with citrus, malt, hints of tropical fruits, grass, caramel, herbs and pine. Moderate sweet with dominating fruity and hoppy flavours and a fairly dry and medium bitter finish. 50cl bottle from Meny Kolsås. Pours muddy brown with an off-white head. Malty aroma with caramelly and earthy notes, dried dark fruits and hints of roasted malt, spices and red berries. Sweet, malty and quite flavourful, some lightly sour notes is present and the finish is moderate bitter with some herbal notes. Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is mild roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, chocolate, hay, burnt caramel, grass,weeds. Taste is slightly sour-ish roasted, grass, paper, sour caramel, roasted grain, hay, minerals, weeds, dark malts. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and watery mouthfeel. Boring.

Flaske 500ml - batch 58 og 59 - spandert av og delt med Rune på Rundvannet 18 Des 14. Mørk gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum med litt lacing. Svakt uklar. Litt søt fruktaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken anonym. Spor av krydder.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy brown body with light carbonation. Light earthy buttery aroma with mealy notes. Dryish mealy earthy caramelly taste with toffee and spice notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish syrupy rye crisp bread aftertaste with dusty mealy chocolatey notes. Nice, drinkable, quite a bit of flavour. (0.5l bottle from Meny Oslo City. Batch 58-59 (?!).)

Bottle at Cafe Sara. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, choclate. Flavour is the same. Ordinary / OK beer.
