Draught at the Legion in Gibsons. Amber, thick head, just a slight haze. Medium bitterness, medium fruitiness, slight berry. It’s decent, and probably the best beer in this establishment.

Very nice white foam, mellow gold clear body, sweet peachy hops on the nose. Flavour is bright hops, good peach, sweetness but not overly cloying. Just nice all around, alcohol is well hidden. Good on Russell for a nice big IPA.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy dull orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out the hibiscus upfront, followed by strawberry pith, and a hint of lactose. Flavour is much sweeter, with lots of strawberry pure, lactose, and gentle hibiscus. Somewhat artificial and too sweet. Amateur.

473mL can, pours a clear copper golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of sticky resinous hops and sweet caramel malt. Flavour confirms this is on the sweeter side, with tons of sticky resinous hop oils, sweet caramel, and a hint of pine. Very sticky and oily, with a fair amount of sweetness coming through from the hop oils. There is some nice dry piney hop bite to balance also. Very nicely put together, though perhaps a tad too sticky and sweet.

Opaque, a bit dull. Not much head. Cucumber is big here, light tartness, so not bad balance.

Quite dull, hazy, just a thin head. The sour kicks off a nice note, maybe that's the sacc trois, and then there's a big whack of dry hop. Bright, juicy tropical hop notes from abundant simcoe dry hopping, really citrusy, blends in well with the tartness and wheaty notes. Tastes quite a bit better than it looks.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Light amber to golden colour, hazy. Bready malt, gentle caramel, mildly sweet; the hop has some candied orange and pine resins, robust bitterness. Not the most modern DIPA, but solid. Overpriced though (taking one score point for that).

Amber colour, bright, with a bit of head. On the nose it's fairly chewy, piney, old school DIPA. On the palate it's the same. A good blast of alcohol in the finish, quite piney, moderate bitterness, some citrus, and a slightly chewy malt profile. Pretty good execution, really.

473mL can, pours an opaque, filthy dark purple with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of lactose, with raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and subdued citrus hops. Flavour is very fruity, with lots of pithy mixed berries, lactose, and citrus hops. Blended well, with the hops, fruit and lactose well-integrated. Very good.
