Quite dark. Thin head. Has a chocolatey nose, maybe with a touch of coconut. Dark chocolate and coconut sweetness, good bitterness. The deep chocolate character is good for balance. The coconut is really nice accent, and that’s all it is. Pretty good, actually.

Black colour. Aroma is heavy liquorice...much heavier than you’d normally find in a root beer. It’s still heavy on the palate, but with a roasty accent, a fair bit of sweetness, balanced, has a roasty dryness and the herbs contribute bitterness. Not bad. Definitely better than expected.

Can: Poured a cloudy bright orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus hops with some grapefruit juice is quite enticing. Taste is a mix of fresh citrus hop with some grapefruit juices with some residuals sugar notes which offset most of the bitterness. Body is full with good carbonation. Great IPA and I liked the fact that the grapefruit notes are quite bold.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of pumpkin spices, no real pumpkin puree, with a touch of oak. Flavour is very weak and watery, with light pumpkin spices. Super weak, watery and pointless all round. Shit.

On cask at Garrick's Head, pours a cloudy murky yellow win a small white head. Aroma brings out big notes of melon upfront, followed by a touch of dankness from the hops, citrus and coriander. Flavour is similar, tasting more like a traditional wit, with citrus and light coriander upfront, and a touch of melon. Not bad, but I don't care for it much.
