Poured from 650mL bottle. Cloudy light golden yellow with white head. Aroma of citra hops and a musky yeast. Flavour has a little funky wheat that coats the tongue and moves into a mild dry hop finish. Smooth and slightly sticky.

Reddish-brown, with a thin head. The aroma is a bit weak and caramelly, with a touch of toasted biscuit malts, the body is light, with a vaguely caramelly, biscuity character. Pretty uninteresting...the malts are pretty simple and the body is thin.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with light head. Aromas of raisins, toasted malt, alcohol, and light caramel. Flavors are similar with notes of burnt sugar and grass. OK, but nothing special.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper color with almost not head. Aromas of toffee, light pine and tropical fruit. Flavors of sweet malts, grass, and candied fruit. Long bitter finish. An easy drinker.

Golden-bronze colour. Thin head. The aroma is cantaloupe and grapefruit with light pine and a lot of chewy crystal sweetness. On the palate it has a fair bit of chewiness but has a sweet candied fruit character, with light alcohol. Good brew, balanced.

Deep amber-brown, aroma has a lot of beech smoke...good stuff...I assume Weyermann but the dose is pure Schlenkerla. A bit thin on the malts, but the smoke is nice. A touch sweet in the finish. That it invites comparison to greatness is impressive. Yum.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Bourbon, wheat and sour notes, some alcohol. I like it (sour fan), but not great if you’re expecting a barley wine. Medium body.

2014-03-20, bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver, 6-4-6-3-12=31
Mahogany color with small head. The aroma is caramelly and bready. The body is rather thin, off-dry, nutty malt flavor, bready, low bitterness, very light fruity touch in the end. Easy but not bad.

2014-03-18, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 6-5-6-3-12=32
Dark amber color with creamy persistent head. Some malt and caramel aroma, with minimal fruity impression, but also with a shade of stale water. Soft mouthfeel; caramel flavor with light residual sweetness, and very light nutty and fruity touch; correct bitterness.
Some Irish Ale has too much roastiness or it’s too dry; this beer is not such, luckily (of the Irish), but still it’s a bit simplistic.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear, golden amber with dissipating white head. I’m not so sure about this bottle. Aroma has mild apricot, sweet bready malt, I literally don’t smell hops in this. Taste of mild toffee malt, very very subtle hops, and rubbing alcohol. Medium body. Seemed more like a lackluster double pale ale (the hops are almost hidden completely - where’s the India in DIPA?). Based on the reviews (and the reviewers), I don’t think there’s a lot of consistency with the product.
