Tap at Preserve in Winters, CA. Pours hazy orange/gold with a white head. Aroma is mostly citrus. Fairly strong. Med body. Flavor is citrus over mild caramel - tho it gets a little sweet at the end of each quaff. Even a touch of "wheat" there. Floral develops a bit. But it’s very citrus and nicely bitter.

Sample at Sour Sunday 2015. Hazy golden/orange with a small white head. Nicely sour with peach, light bourbon and malt. Also some light notes of vinegar. Refreshing and nicely drinkable. I didn’t expect this one to be as tasty as it was.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours very hazy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is very mosaic. Tropical with citrus. Russia must relate to mosaic. Full bodied. Flavor is tropical, spicy citrus, earthy. Finishes like that. Nice. Very.

A dark reddish brown beer, almost clear looking, and with a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has caramel, roasted malts, some dark chocolate and dried fruits, some coffee grit in the back. A herbal, peppery touch too. It’s lightly sourish too, with flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and black pepper. It’s full-bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Lasting finish. Not sure if I like that little lemony coffee-ish sourness, but it didn’t ruin the beer either. 141219

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of citrus and stone fruit. Med body. Flavor is citrus, light stone fruit, and maybe malt is detectable. It starts quite bitter and finishes that way. Cries out for imperialization. Good tasting beer.

Tap at the brewery tasting room. Pours honey gold with a white head. Aroma seems to be that Nelson/Mosaic thing. Flavor of melon, pine, Southern type fruits, citrus, mild caramel. It is a very tasty IPA and bitter enough for a light burn. Excellent.
