On tap at Kulshan, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out vegetal notes and a hint of butter. Flavour is tart, with vegetal character all throughout. The master says there is butter here, but I don't get it - just lots of vegetal character. Yeuch.

On nitro tap at Kulshan, pours a clear golden with a large off-white head. Aroma is subdued, with some vegetal notes and bready malt. Flavour is subdued, with light earthy hops and bready malt. Not much going on here. Useless beer.

On tap at Kulshan K2, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out heaps of whiskey barrel goodness, with vanilla, and very subdued spices. Flavour is dominated by the bourbon barrels, which totally dilutes the spices, leaving just a nice woody, vanilla-y, bourbon character. Excellent.

On tap at Kulshan K2, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy, resinous hops, with toasted biscuity malt to back. Flavour brings out a spicy, earthy and resinous hop character, with a toasted biscuity malt base. Resinous, spicy finish. Solid stuff, but not the best hop expression.

Flavour is quite nutty, with toasted bready caramel, toasted nuts and German lager yeast. Nice use of the lager yeast, with a very caramel malty finish. Very good.

On tap at Elizabeth Station on Darkest Day III. Pours a very dark brown. Aroma is strange with rowan and some bourbon notes. Tazte is similar with some chocolate notes. Strange, but good.

On tap at Kulshan, pours a clear copper golden with a small beige head. Aroma is quite boozy, with harsh alcohol, resinous hops and sweet caramel. Flavour is a hot sweet mess, with tons of alcohol, resinous hops, sickly sweet caramel malt and candied sugar. This is such a tough style to get down right, and this attempt unfortunately exemplifies this. Boozy, cloyingly sweet and messy. Tough to drink.

Flavour is hot, with lots of esters, candied sugar and booze. Messy and poorly balanced, with ineffective yeast expression. Not a good example of the style.
