500 mL bottle, purchased at K2. Just sounded like the ultimate refreshment offering that they had. Bummed to miss this beer when it was a collaboration with Wander for beer week, but glad these guys decided to keep the beer alive themselves. Clean and clear pinkish pour with a fizzing pink tinted head. Fantastic aroma of fresh raspberries. Very nice flavor going on here. With soft bready grains, and a big jammy raspberry constant, it’s like biting into a piece of raspberry jam toast. Exactly like it. Very refreshing. It’s unfair for me to keep going on these raspberries beers, but I will anyway. Fricken love raspberries. A fantastic beer if you want something light, refreshing, flavorful, and just a hint of sweetness, and if you are like me and don’t mind a little fruit in your beer. Or a lot. Delicious.

Draft pour at Kulshan, K2. A reddish brown pour with an active fizz head. A nutty, coffee aroma. Flavor is a similar nutty malt, but buried under a massive coffee influence. Flavorful roast. Coffee bitter. Nice beer here.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out fairly prominent grapefruit, with a touch of lacto and salt. Flavour is wonderfully citric, with lots of grapefruit, moderate salt, and just enough lacto. Extremely well-made with exceeding drinkability. Excellent.

500ml bottle from Bottleworks, Seattle with the bottle listing 9.9% ABV and the name being Kulshan Russian Imperial Stout with the Shuksan not there anymore just as it appears on their website. It also appears I’m the first rater of the bottle version. Nose is chocolate, smoke, roast, and a hint of tobacco. Black with a medium, heavy lacing, cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet, smoky, and a hint of earthy peat. Nice impy.

On tap at the original location. Crystal clear light golden with a bright white head. Light pale lightly sweet malt flavors. Thin light body. Under hopped I think.

On tap at Menace, pours a hazy dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out excessively sweet fruity esters from the Belgian yeast, uh oh. Flavour is thankfully not quite as estery, though it is still dominated by such esters. There is a dry cereal malt character to it that cuts down on some of the sweetness. Not overly enthralled here.
