On tap at Kulshan Brewing, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, citrus hops, and a little candied sweetness. Flavour brings out medium roasted malts, some moderately harsh citrus hops, but not overly harsh as in some black IPAs. Well-balanced between malts and hops. Textbook, well-executed black IPA.

On tap at Kulshan Brewing, pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, winter spices and candied sugar. Flavour of winter spices, caramel malts, citrus hops and vanilla. Quite full-flavoured with a good balance. Decent stuff.

Draught at the taproom
Black color with beige creamy head. Light aroma of roasted malt. The mouthfeel is too dry, quite weak; some roasted malt, some coffee, moderate to low bitterness; the final tends to be a bit watery.
Too simple, not the best one on tap today.

Draught at the taproom, 8.7% ABV
With Columbus and Cascade

Beautiful amber color, with creamy persistent head. The aroma is mild, some malt, some manure and sage aroma. It has a good body, smooth mouthfeel, some malt flavor; it was given as made with spruce, but it also has a very strong feeling of sage and some rosemary; correct bitterness.
I’m not in favor for beers brewed with herbs and resins; but it’s well brewed although weird. So, it’s difficult to drink too much of it.

Dark brown color, with small creamy head. The aroma of dark malts is a bit dusty. Good flavor of dark malts, caramel, some mild roastiness, a hint of spices, some late chocolate; it has moderate sweetness, and correct bitterness.
Good.

Draught at the taproom
Amber color, with creamy head. Good hoppy aroma, with a fruity and earthy character (some manure). Lean mouthfeel, the malt flavor is mild, the hopping is necessarily better, with resins, and a quite strong manure character again, very light fruity touch.
Pleasant, fresh, earthy.

Draught at the taproom
Dark amber color, with creamy head. The cinnamon aroma hits immediately. Smooth mouthfeel, with reasonable malt and caramel flavor, and strong cinnamon (cassia) spiciness; almost minty; correct bitterness.
It’s not bad, but well, it’s just another cinnamon beer.

Draught at the taproom
The color is yellower, darker than usual wheats, with creamy head. The aroma is light. The flavor is quite malty and even a bit crispy, with just an accent of wheat, good mouthfel, ordinary bitterness.
Doest taste much like a wheat, and this is good news; it’s not bad.
