6 week old can A: Very clear pale gold with a short, sparse head that fell quickly to film. Busy bubbles. S: Strawberry and grape. Winey alcohol scent like white zinfandel. T: Extremely dry with flavors of apple and pear a la kolsch but strong and with some yeast and fruit at the end. M: Stiffly carbonated with medium full body and clean dry finish. O: Very kolsch-like and with nicely developed fruit flavors although stronger and hotter than I'd prefer.

1 week old pint can A: Clear deep deep orange-brown color with minimal head or lace. S: Nutty with a hint of chocolate, toast and orange. T: Bitter and sweet at once. Floral and herbal hops with faint citrus. Malts are nutty and toasty ending with light roast and citrus. Nice balance. M: Medium weight with low carbonation and ashy finish. O: A decent stab at an understated style. Not exemplary but tasty and well balanced. A worthwhile changeup from IPAs.
