500ml bottle, brygg 45, bought at Meny Lade. Coal black coloured body. Dissipating tan-coloured head. Decent lacework to the glassware. Rich roasted, dark chocolate nose. Grainy dark malty flavours, hints of caramel and chocolate, offset by roasted dark fruits towards the end. Medium to thin bodied. Satisfying (Hotel room, Trondheim 30.10.2014).

500ml gushing bottle, brygg 44, picked up at Meny Lade. Huge foamy head reduced to a filmy layer. Unclear dark amber coloured body with sediments. Fair lacing. Malt-fruity nose of leafy hops, grass and earthy malts. Taste of brown malts, apricot, and a touch of yeasty fruitiness to the ending. Bitter round off. Foam in the mouth. Accepted (hotel room, Trondheim 30.10.2014).

500ml bottle, brygg 43, bought at Meny Lade. Pours a fair, off-white head. Misty, apricot coloured body. Mid-sweet sappy aromas of peach and lemon. Fresh taste of citrus fruits like orange and lemon followed by fruity bitterness to the finish, semi-dry. Medium bodied. Likable (hotel room, Trondheim 29.10.2014).

500ml bottle, brygg 42, from Meny Lade. Near-clear amber coloured body. Remaining low, beige head. Drying aroma pine needles. Pine needles upfront to the taste buds with hints of wood, smoke and brown malts. Bittersweet tail. Well bodied and pleasing. A tad too dry, perhaps (hotel room, Trondheim 29.10.2014).

01.11.2014, 0,5l bottle sampled @ Cardinal:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry grassy, lawn, forest floor, moss, old leafs, bark, old hops, wet grass, light malts. Taste is slightly dry grassy, hay, old leafs, bark, harsh hops, paper, alcohol, wood, pine needles, soil. Longlasting bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Lovely orange dark golden color with a big frothy thick off white head. Lovely lacing. Looks really nice and inviting. Very grassy, mild fruity and malty. Ok body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. A bit to rich carbonation. A really gusher at start. Also a bit fizzy texture. Grassy, malty, bready and a bit fruity flavor. Quite decent brew. Way to rich carbonated and a bit to grassy feeling for me.

At first this one really looks nice and inviting. Unclear orange and a bit dark golden color with a fine off white head that last. Solid lacing down the glass. Citric, mild grassy and malty aroma. Very nice. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Good body for an ale at 4,7%. Average carbonation and a bit dry ending. Fresh citrus, mild grassy and a fine malt profile. One of the best Norwegian grocery store beer for some time.
