Bottle. A really dark brown beer, seemingly almost clear, with a dense, finger-thick light beige head. Some lacings. Roasted malts, some burnt down campfire, a touch of dark chocolate and something meaty, and some prunes in the aroma. It’s dry and pleasantly carbonated, perhaps a bit too much carbonation, but it’s pleasant anyway. Full to medium body. Roasted and burnt malts, some dark chocolate and prunes and a bitterness that deals easily with the remaining sweetness. Lasting finish. The best grocery store strength porter in Norway? Not sure, but it’s a really fine one. 140621

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark amber in color and with a finger-thick, dense, light beige head leaving some lacings. There’s some cocoa on the nose, leading my thoughts to darker beers than Pale Ale, but the brewer calls it a Pale Ale so I’ll let her decide. There’s fruityness and caramel too, and some faint herbal hoppyness. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, semi-sweet, with a nice balancing bitterness. Caramel, bread hints and some grassy, piney hints. And the cocoa known from the aroma. A bit short finish, but overall, a quite moreish beer that I won’t shy away from repeating. Must admit I didn’t expect much from this tiny operation, the first impression is good though. 140621

Fin kjeksaktig maltpreg, tørrende, litt snerpende/pepperaktig munnfølelse. Tydelig humle med noe metallisk preg. Bra utseende.

Leskende, maltrik uten å være søt, fin balanse og nedtonet humlebitterhet. Har en litt fenolisk aroma som jeg tror er humla. Interessant
