330ml bottle, 5.7 %, 2019 version. Bought at Vinmonopolet Sentrum Tromsø. Small sized off-white head, dotted spots on the glass, cloudy dark brown body. Restrained smell of ginger and caramel malts. The taste profile is dominated by spiced ginger joined by brown malts. Hints of ripe orange towards the ending. Feels a bit thin in the mouth. Fair enough.

Bottle backlog August 2014. Unclear dark golden body with a small tan head. Mild fruity aroma with smooth caramel and light malt. Taste is smooth malty, light caramel and slightly fruity with moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Quite straight forward but decent.

Bottle from Gulating. Unclear golden body with a medium lasting, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is a bit weak and moderate acidic with the kind of general fruitiness found in unflavored Berliner Weisse, hint of minerals and yogurt. Flavor is more distinct than aroma, nice and refreshing, balanced acidic with hint of fruit and some mild licorice in the background. Feels slightly mineral with a faint hint of yogurt. I think it’s much closer to a regular Berliner Weisse than I would expect from something named with licorice and candy, and that’s actual a god thing in my world. Nice and refreshing, nothing extreme, fairly balanced between sweet and sour without overdoing the licorice flavor.

Crisp as a cracker.
