Got this in a trade with a friend. 12 ounce can into pilsener glass; no canning date, but I got it recently. Pours almost crystal clear golden straw color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with fantastic retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some decent lacing clinging the glass, and plenty of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of lemon, grass, floral hops, pepper, herbs, and a bit of biscuit. Nice aromas with good balance and decent strength. Taste of big lemon, biscuit, floral, pepper, herb, grass, and spiciness. Light floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, biscuit, herb, pepper, and spiciness on the finish for a bit. Medium carbonation and body; with a crisp and very nice mouthfeel that is not thin at all. No alcohol noticed at all in the taste or finish as expected, and very drinkable. Overall this is a highly excellent pilsener, with a ton of nice well balanced flavor. One of the best ones I have had for sure.

Location: Draft at Whole Foods-Lamar-Bar Lamar (Austin), 2/19/12
Aroma: The aroma is lemon, yeast, and some cereal malts
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a bubbly white head
Flavor: The taste is mildly sweet, with some cereal malt flavor, and light hops
Palate: The carbonation is fairly fizzy on this one, and it has a light and bubbly body
Overall Impression: I wasn't super impressed by this one. It is kind of a boring pale. Nothing too exciting going on here.

Location: Draft at Ginger Man- Austin, 2/17/12
Aroma: The nose has some light hops, with yeast, grains, and floral notes
Appearance: This one pours a clear golden-yellow color, with a white head atop it
Flavor: The flavor is decdently crisp, mild, it is both lightly sweet, and lightly bitter
Palate: The body is light-to-medium, and it has a solid, decently crisp feel on the mouth
Overall Impression: This is an alright pils. I wasn't overly impressed, but it is solid and fairly on style. There isn't a whole heck of a lot more to say beyond that.

Can from Bgthang in a trade. Popped this open whithout really thinking about it and was blown away. Pours straw yellow with a medium white head that leaves a light foam on the beer the length of the glass. Aroma is huge crackers, dried grass and some soapy notes that are a little floral. This beer packs a punch. Lots of big hay and grassy malts, very clean throughout but a huge fresh hop presence in the finish drying the mouth and leaving me wanting more. Single handedly one of the best pilsners I have ever had and one of the best beers of the last year. One that gets me excited to rate beer. Wish I had this stuff readily available.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a very dark brown with small frothy beige head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a raisin malt and caramel. Thick mouthfeel with a smoke and coffee with a light smoke finish. A good schwarzbier from Austin BW.

On tap at Flying Saucer Houston. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has notes of bread and hay with crisp lager yeast. Flavor is full of hay, grain and bread with hints of pine and grapefruit. A bit of lager yeast, but not much else.
