Fin Profile - Brewver (Dev)

Can picked up in a ten pack from Pentrich and posted to and shared with my dad, Monday 13th October 2925 after a very nice couple of hours in Stockport with Keef Mullin and son Carl. Pours murky milky yellow with a white head that swiftly departed. Nice soft mouthfeel, twangy and a little touch of tropical fruit but with a light tart edge. Good but not blowing me away.

On tap in the company of Dad, Monday 13th October after a couple of hours in Stockport with Keef Mullin and Carl. Pours clear gold with a white head. Lightly citrussy, easy drinking and very uncomplicated session IPA, fine but not a patch on the Black Raven that Dad's drinking.

We (me, dad and Pauline) visited here yesterday, Sunday 12th October 2025. I think that this is a relatively new addition to Belper which is a town that seems to have a constantly changing beer scene with new places opening and sadly others closing. I believe that this is where Tom Said originally brewed, they have a place in Ripley and perhaps prior to that from what I hear also the site of the former Campbell Street brewery. It's located on Campbell Street, the yard/beer garden area is adjacent to the railway line and it's opposite Arkwrights (another great beer venue)

Inside the brewing equipment is on the left and the cobbled floor leads you to the bar at the far end where approx' eleven taps are on offer, there are also two cak hand pumps on the bar but these weren't offering anything today.

All of the beers were Critch with about a quarter collaborations with the likes of Bentley Brook, Blue Monkey and a couple with Typeset Attack. All beers were very solid, I liked everything. The barman was pleasant and clientele, with children and dogs very friendly. It appears that as soon as this closes at 6pm everyone goes across the road to the aforementioned Arkwrights, we went over to listen to the Open Mic session starting late afternoon and was impressed with the quality of the two singers, but back to Critch, this is a great new'ish' place that already has a loyal local following. Btw they have a large selection of cans and a few bottles, mostly local but my estimate of 100 is probably on the low side, there might be more. Prices very reasonable.
