Visited on a Saturday afternoon. The family had some extra time, and we saw a sign for Hazy Mountain Vineyards and Brewery. For whatever reason, I was expecting a ramshackle type setup, and what we encountered was perhaps the most ambitious brewery and winery project I have ever seen. Located on the top of a ridge, the setup is two large buildings, one for visiting and one for events. In addition to the huge hall with the two giant tasting bars, there is an enormous patio with giant views. In terms of beer, the beer selection was 7 house beers, and straight forward styles. Available as a full plastic pint, or a beer flight of 4 - 5 oz pours. Service was efficient, which they needed to be as this place was very busy. If you are in the area doing the Vineyard / Brewery thing, this is a must stop for the views and the ambition alone.

Visited for lunch with the family and our friend Heather. Located 30 minutes outside of Charlottesville, in the midst of the area's wineries. Large, sprawling location built for large crowds. Seating in both the main building, and in the large patio areas all around the building. It appears they frequently have music. Very dog and family friendly. The beer selection is 10 beers in a variety of styles, available as full, half or taster pours. The taster tray offered samples of all ten beers for $12 or something, great value. Food menu is standard brewery fare, though the margherita pizza I had was excellent, and enormous. Plenty of beer and merch available to go as well. Despite this place being massive, I really enjoyed the laid back vibe here.

Visited for dinner and a beer on a Sunday. Located in a large refurbished old factory by the river, very interesting architecture around the newer building which houses the brewery. Large open space with a long bar and an outdoor beer garden. Beer selection is 18 house beers available as full pour or 5 oz as well crowler or growler to go. A wide variety of styles. The food menu has a lot of options, I had fish tacos which were solid. The service had a friendly, comfortable vibe.
