Shaker pint draft at The Peanut in Mission, Kansas. The pour is a hazed orange, with a foamy white head. Lace coats the glass. The aroma is orange peel, orange fruit, and a soft cream. The taste is bright citrus, orange fruit, sweet cream, and finishes with bitter peel. The palate is light to medium bodied with an unfiltered mouthfeel and a lingering citrus in the after taste. Well made, standard hazy.

Visited early on a Friday, their opening night. Located in the Crossroads, in a fairly narrow building. Seating outside as you approach, the front room has tables, with a fair amount of seating and the bar area. Beer is ordered at the counter, with the bar seating itself in the narrow hallway leading to a smaller back room that has a couple of tables and a larger booth. Beer selection was pretty vast for a new location launch, with 11 BKS beers on tap, a hydromel and 4 guest drafts. Beers are available as half or full pours. No food, but you can bring it in. Same super knowledgeable and friendly service as the original Brookside location. Fantastic to have a second BKS option in town!

10 oz draft at Pegasus City in downtown Dallas, Texas. The pour is an opaque black brown with a small khaki head that leaves behind thick lace. The aroma is Belgian spice, raisin and some medicinal herbal. The taste is medicinal, sweet honey, fruit and a lot of booze. Real cough medicine vibe. The palate is medium to heavier bodied with a slick mouthfeel, oily, and an aftertaste of cherry and booze. This was a miss for me.

Bottle to glass at Anjin restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazy, almost murky, golden yellow with a small off white head. The aroma is cereal, bread, hint of sulfur, distant yeast notes. The taste is grainy cereal malt, a bit of lemon citrus and dirty earth. The palate is medium bodied, unfiltered mouth feel, low carbonation and dirty finish.

Bottle to glass at Anjin restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is clear pale golden with a small white head. The aroma is cereal malt, rice and a soft sort of synthetic sweetness. The taste is the cereal malt, rice and the sweetness towards the back, cleaner than the nose suggested it would be. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and cereal finish.
