Shaker pint draft at Cartridge Brewing in Maineville, Ohio. The pour is a clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is faint cracker malt along with a whisper of herbal. The taste is clean, and light like the nose with a nice balance between the biscuit malt and the herbal, softly floral hops. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a clean finish. Solid, clean Helles.

Willebecher type glass draft at Hanks Garage & Grill in Shawnee, Kansas. The pour is crystal clear pale golden with a foamy white head that leaves behind lace. The aroma is bright New Zealand hop, peach, grass, earth along with a fresh cereal malt. The taste is clean cracker cereal malt with the peach, floral, earth hops on top, nicely balanced, bright flavors. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and the fresh clean bright finish. Very drinkable beer, nice one.

16 oz can purchased at the Whole Foods Market in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. The pour is a slightly hazed golden with a fizzy one inch white head that falls quickly. The aroma is cereal cracker malt, fresh, faintly toasty, with a nice floral floating in after the malt. The taste is sweet malt, biscuit, the soft toast and then finishes dry with the floral yeast character. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and clean dry finish. Nicely drinkable.

Plastic pint glass draft pour at Bold Rock Carter Mountain in Charlottesville, Virginia. The pour is clear pale yellow with fine carbonation bubbles building up a brief white head. The aroma is soft apple fruit, floral and a nice champagne yeast. The taste is clean and crisp apple, softly sweet, faintly tart, with a crisp dry champagne like finish. The palate is light bodied, sparkly carbonation and the crisp dry finish. Nice one.

Visited for sunset on a Friday. The overall Carter Mountain experience is quite sprawling, with all manner of activities to enjoy. Bold Rock is in the sub level of the main building, and has a beautiful patio right outside of its doors (see pic). There are 6 Bold Rock Ciders available on draft in a range of styles and sweetness. Additionally, there is a large selection of to go ciders and other Bold Rock alcoholic drinks. Work visiting for the view, and the off-dry Vat No. 1 was also delicious.
