Started on Ratebeer in 2002. Never a huge ticker but have become more interested in trying smaller sample sizes of more beers lately.
Current tasting group meets bi-monthly: tfontana, Airforcehops (CLW) and Chalumeaux, occasionally with AdamChandler and Jow.

*Disclaimer*
I rate N/A beers on a N/A beer scale. Not a scale vs non-N/A beers. So an 8.5 rating of an N/A beer does not mean I think it is equivalent to an 8.5 real beer.

Draught at the brewery, 6/5/26.
Nose not too impeded by the nitro. Good chocolate, coffee and earthiness. Clean.
Nice base malt and moderate roast. Soft, silky-to-oily texture with good malt depth and attenuation. Nice to see they didn't forget the base malt. Not just watery roast.

Juicy, fruity, malty. Clean and no resin. Melon and orange rind. Nice aroma strength. Maybe gonna need a bit more acidity? We'll see.
Malty for sure with some zippy bitterness to start and a bit of grapefruit pith. Fruity, clean, with more orange rind and melon. Yeah...just a bit too low in bitterness. Maybe that's just me or maybe that's been a perceived uptick in bitterness in this style recently. Either way, this is still respectable as hell. Maybe just getting a bit too fruity-sweet and soft as the glass finishes.

Not a lot of aroma, just getting some diacetyl, I think.
Buttery caramel with toast and a malty, chewy, soft texture with good depth and attenuation. Diacetyl seems to be inherent to whatever yeast theyve used and it's quite lovely, actually. Light hop bitterness keeps the balance and it's not too toasty.

500mL bottle, best before March 4, 2026, drunk June 5, 2026. From the cooler.
Not much in the nose. Rich cereal, sweet caramel, honey, maybe a hint of pepper. Worty.
Wildly sweet, worty. Guess they just didn't ferment it. No sign of hops. Slight oxidation. Hard to take more than a few sips.

Fort Point draught, 6/5/26.
Very floral but not in a bad way. Light and airy. No sign of pine or grapefruit rind. No allium, low woodiness. Dainty honey and white bread-like malt. None of the NE yeast mustiness nor any chalky dry hop.
Fruity and juicy with a touch of woodiness leading to a round, flavorful blueberry character. Supple malts with good depth and attenuation. Nice balance of bitterness. Very easygoing, modern take on the style. Love the Mosaic treatment which Trillium always does well.

Fort Point draught, 6/5/26.
Earthy mineral with tropical fruit rind. White bread like malts easily balance. Low acidity and a very round, juicy, citrus fruitiness on the end.
Big grapefruit up front with a ton of earthiness. Crusty, cracker malts and some chewy white bread ample balance. More dry, bitter finish. Balanced and well-made but not super compelled by mostly grapefruit and earthiness.

Fresh, zesty herb and snappy malts with yeast crackling on the finish. Not as much mineral as, say, a Czech Pils, but that's not the style.
Pretty deep malt but there's a bit of paper-like blandness. White bread and light herb collide with a fair bit, but not too much sweetness. Black pepper lingering. Maybe the slight off flavors are the Canadian yeast? A bit too true to style!

City Tap draught, 6/5/26.
Skunky with black pepper, preserved lemon and fresh squeezed kumquat juice. Malts present but not abusive and there's no sign of alcohol.
Rich, thick, creamy and juicy with fresh squeezed OJ fruitiness drying out to skunky pepper and herb. No alcohol or excessive sweetness keeps it quite drinkable for its size and there's excellent bitterness. Soft, supple, comforting malts. Rich and balanced. You feel the strength, but you should at 10%

Clean, clear, bright Citra giving typical mango and orange notes. Touch of pine/pith on the end to keep it honest. Deep malts but no excess sugar and no alcohol noted. Tangerine and lemongrass appear with warming, building complexity.
Somewhat flat, sweet, moderately bready malts initially, combined with the darker color make me think this is a touch oxidized. Pineapple, tangerine, papaya and lemon with orange and light bread lingering.
