Sample at the taproom as part of Ohio Brew Week on 07/18/2025, during the 10th Anniversary celebration. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of bourbon, malt and molasses. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, burnt malt, molasses and a touch of earthy hop. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the taproom as part of Ohio Brew Week on 07/18/2025. The beer is a slightly cloudy peach-orange color with a thin frothy white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Grassy hops, tropical fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, tropical fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a zesty citrus and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 08/18/2011. Dark amber pour with a medium frothy off-white head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of malt, fruit, hops and caramel. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops. The finish is boozy and chewy with a malty aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sample at the Badge-Whore Bowl (OSU vs AL) tasting on 01/01/2015. This brew pours a dark brown-black color with a very thin beige head that disappears quickly. Spots of lacing on the glass. Oaky bourbon aroma with some vanilla notes. Rich body with with a rich bourbon character that has wood and vanilla notes. Sweet malt in the background as well. The finish is somewhat boozy with a dark malty aftertaste. Good beer overall.
