Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

Clear pale, Odd nose of dull hops on apple cider. First taste is hoppy, but only mildly hoppy. Its nothing like a hopped beer. Actually rather mil and easy going and quite dry. I'm not sure if the hops leave a dry impression but it does seem to lack the sweetness of most domestic ciders. I don't care for hopped beers but this cider is not bad. At a cool 4.5%, its quite quaffable. Good co2 clear to the end.

Can for 2$. Pour is hazy pale with a haze. Nose is dull older IPA hops and taste is dull old IPA too. No wonder, date code is november 2023! Oh well. Pretty much flat and mouth coating. A little boozy. No hint of citrus what so ever in this. Stupid ass IPA. I'll give it an extra point for its IPA content. There, you have it. No worries, just an old straight up ass sample.

Clear pale with a white head from a half liter can. Sweet corny nose. First taste aint that bad, its online with many cheap macro american lagers that sat on the shelf for a year. Actually its listed as a pale lager here but I would say its most likely of the premium variety, has many of the attributes. Yea, maybe even getting a little of that vienna sweetness in there. Decent co2 up thru the middle, but could use more. Yea, has a sort of baltic lager feel to this as well. I can imagine going into hungary and drinken this at a bar for a cheap price. Not bad overall but the finish could have a few manners. Loses its carbonation in the end.

Big stovepipe can off the clearance shelf, for a buck, oh my!! Pour is clear pale and nose is big strong volatile IPA hops. First taste is simply straight up big ass alarming alky cloying perfume like a bitter biting bomb. Quick warming sensation on the smallest sip causes a frightening shock to the intake manifold system. What a mouth coating mega mess! Not sure why this is called tropical, its just a fricken unnerving agitation. No sign of anything tropical here. What on earth? I guess this stovepipe has one purpose in life; to get you a quick foreskin fookin bizz buzz; and half way thru the can, its working. Whew, goose island has come a long way since the first Gee Eye beers I had back in 2005. Seriously, this stuff is inducing the firewater hootch intoxicant moonshine palliative rotgut sauce gag reflex!! One bad ass ball busting bastard. I'll give it a +0.5 points for it accomplishing it's punishing purpose. Otherwise, if this was on sale every day, I'd by this instead of a 40 oz bottle of paper bag cheap malt likkah to catch the desired brain numbing effect. There, you have it.

From a piss pounder can. Hypercritical hazy with a foamy wuffy white head that goes kaput kraggy. Mild IPA pigheadded perfume for a nose. Oh my, first taste is bleak big fat fallacious phenolic bitter. Yukky cruel kukky. Looking for some salacious sardonic co2 to help me out, but its notoriously not there. Middle is malarkey malaise. Can barely stand this insufferably immature IPA. Frantic feeble feckless finish. Bloodthirsty backhanded blah. There, you humiliatingly have it. OK for a terse tainted tragic tick but whiny wickedly wasteful whatever.

Can, dark brown with a small tan head. Nose is metallic with some peanut in the background. First taste is better than expected but it does come across as slightly cloying. In the middle, I'm not sure if I'm liking this. Its starting to feel and taste like a pastry brew, brews which I typically do not get along with. Tho I don't know victory that well, this beer seems to be a little out of their bounds. The more I get into the session, the more I think that is how it should be styled. Yes its a porter, but Ive had many pastry stouts that are very similar in experience. Glad I had a chance to tick this but I wont be buying this again, even for a buck.
