On tap. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of chocolate icing, nougat, green coconut and slick roasted malts. Flavors of burnt sugar, chocolate icing, nougat, oily roasted malts, and possibly some coconut . Very sweet but sippable.

330 ml can. Pours a thick black sludge with no head. Aromas of toasted coconut, chocolate fudge, and thick oily roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional sickeningly sweet artificial red berries. An extreme pastry stout that I cannot finish. Definitely delusional…

On tap. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate head. Aromas of candi sugar, sweet dark fruit and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with malts forward and a bit of sweetness and Belgian yeast in the finish. More of a Dubbel than a barley wine.

Large outdoor beer garden. Take taps of de Hemel beers and six bottles of macro beers with about half bring 0%. Worth a stop on a summer day to try one of the local beers.

Small bar with kitchen. Street patio with limited internal sittings; but available seats inside during my Saturday afternoon visit, while sunny outside patio was full. Good online beer menu with lots of interesting Dutch beers and both standard and new Belgians. Definitely worth a visit, and close to the Central Station.
