Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Milky deep golden body with a thin off-white head that slowly fades. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of mango, orange and pineapple. Flavour of pine and orange peel with a peppery finish. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A fruity and delicious DIPA. I expected a slightly fuller body but overall, this is great.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy amber/brown body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, boiled sweets and rye bread. Flavour of orange and honey with a slightly sharp finish. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A tangy and slightly peppery barley wine. I’d love to see new barley wines released more regularly.

Can from Great Grog. Amber body with a light haze and a thin off-white head. Lively carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of grass, white bread and cardamom. Flavour of lemon and marzipan. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. It lacks the sweetness of my favourite dubbels, but this is still a tasty and interesting beer.
