Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#24. POOLE. With light fading I popped into a Marstons pub called the Foundry Arms, not much to see here in terms of beer, although surprisingly I'd never had the cask version of this one - or at least rated it before. Golden glowing golden style ale. Healthy enough, hoppy and steady and mildly sticky-sweet.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#23. POOLE. Last beer in the Brewpub visit. Fruity session IPA and an easy texture as you'd expect. Slightly over-carbonated but full of a tropical fruit aroma and taste.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#22. POOLE. Fourth beer at the brewpub. Black with a small head. Its chocolate is not heavy but the 'cake' style is evident, albeit quite dry in its finish.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#21. POOLE. Third different third at the brewhouse. Sweet porter, so much so its berries and fruit negate the style completely, including a sweet aroma. By no means a bad brew though. Cherry notes.

Square shop unit taproom. I'm unsure if their own brews are made on-site as I couldn't see any brewing equipment. Seven are available and I tried a palate of four for a reasonable price. Four guest keg are also available in a keg only venue. It's also a few minutes walk north of the train station at Parkstone. The exposed brickwork works well here with a tiled and wooden floor, in what comes across as a fairly traditional setting within a middle shop unit on a busy road.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#20. POOLE. Second of five thirds at the brewpub and furthest right on the photo. Dark clear amber with a texture not feeling its strength. Its taste does though with a fine and appealing sugariness.

On the Day I'm drinking this cider, back in 767 Toto of Nepi's coup d'รฉtat in Rome saw one of his brothers consecrated as Pope Constantine II. This 'Brothers' effort is easily the sweetest of the four cider's I have enjoyed this evening, although its lower strength means it doesn't have a great depth to it, but is not weak. Raspberry light but most prominent in its aroma.

The beautiful ruins of Kirby Hall in Northamptonshire also has a number of Peacocks living in the grounds. It's easy to see why this cider is recommended with a curry, the gentle exotic fruit certainly would have a numbing effect on any spice. As a standalone drink it's not the most exciting of flavoured ciders but suffices.
