A very dark brown pour; looks almost black in the glass with reddish hints if seen through light. Gets a quite good amount of frothy head, greyish to brownish, shows quite good retention but not much lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: some malty sweetness with caramel and lighter nutty notes, a delicate note of coffee, a bit of floral hops suggestion; clean aroma, a slight soft feeling, didn't feel especially rich though. Taste notes are a bit different from what the aroma suggested: sweet malty base still there, but caramel feels less strong, with a more vivid nutty component and perhaps hints of dark bread, roasted malts notes switch from coffee to chocolate, perhaps the slightest fruity hint on the back of things. A relatively dry per style finish and aftertaste, quite neutral tastewise, maybe a hint of floral hops. Sweetness and bitterness are both more or less average, with good balance in both taste and aftertaste; overall, a tad more bitter than usual for a tmave. Light to medium body, low to medium carbonation; decently smooth, slightly soft mouthfeel, somehow felt a bit heavier than expected for the abv. Overall: a fine example of the style.

Deep ruby colour with a slight tendency towards brown. Gets quite some head, the slightest off-white: good persistence, excellent lacing. Not much intensity in the aroma: a subdued (per style) malty presence, with nuttiness and perhaps a hint of toffee and roastiness, a bit of underlying winey, slightly leathery presence, some not very distinct fruity notes (but i'd say mainly in the likes of cherries under spirit). Taste still shows moderate intensity, but in a quite delicate, pleasant way, and feels more defined. Notes as per aroma, plus a quite unexpected dry and moderately astringent, slightly bitter edging finish, with a bit of leafy/tea-like note to it. Light to medium bodied, low to medium carbonation, fine-bubbled carbonation; feels pretty smooth but also shows a hint of creaminess. Could have used a bit more intensity, feels like it doesn't have much even for the style; on the whole, though, it is well made, fine beer.

Pours a very hazy, quite opaque golden. Didn't get much head for a weizen (the glass it was poured in wasn't 100% proper though), ok retention, not much lacing. Average to slightly below average intensity in the aroma: yeasty, soft/white bread base, a healty amount of spiciness (can clearly detect just clove), banana. Ok aroma, very simple. Taste notes follow the aroma quite closely, perhaps with a bit of vanilla showing up. Mandatorily sweet, as usually cut/balanced by a hint of sourness, though the overall balance felt a bit sweeter than the average weizen. As for the aroma, so-so taste intensity. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation (less carbonated than usual per style); felt easily drinkable and slick, slightly silky. Overall: nothing more than averagely good, actually felt a bit too average.

Pours on the very dark side of golden, pretty translucent through light. A bit of haziness. Good sized, healty white head shows excellent retention and nice lacing. Pretty good intensity in the aroma with a not too restrained malty background (soft breadiness, honey, a hint of caramel) and hoppy notes of jam-like citricness and grassy hops. Shows good intensity in taste too, with far from timid (at least for a vycepni) sweetness and bitterness; good overall balance in the mouth, a moderate bitter edge in the finish with a dry floral hops reminiscence. Ok taste definition; not as bright on the citric/grassy component as the smell suggested. Light to medium bodied, average to above average carbonated; in body this was much bolder and structured than expected for a 10°, with a very lively mouthfeel (a bit too burpy though). Final thoughts: very intense for a vycepni, both in taste intensity and mouthfeel, well made and pleasantly lively on the overall. Good stuff.

Pours a dark, slightly opaque golden, perhaps with amber hints. Low to medium sized white head; shows quite good retention, though not much lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: soft/white bready malts, perhaps hints of biscuits; a good dose of hoppiness with a lightly grassy, partially resinous background, with fruity notes in the likes of citric jam (not a very defined hop profile sadly, hard to pick specific fruits). Taste notes follow the aroma: again, average intensity, so-so definition. Nice sweet/bitter balance, with both coming out as delicate to medium; finish has the slightest bitter edge and feels moderately dry. Light bodied, but perhaps not as much as expected; average carbonation. Decently lively, but doesn't feel as slender as expected for the low abv. Overall: very much passable, but i've had much better from them.

Slovak based webshop. Ships throughout europe at different prices depending on zones/distance; fair prices on the overall i'd say. Selection wise they act as a sort of hub for eastern european craft breweries, with a focus on slovak and czech breweries (including some less common ones), but they also have a fair share of polish, baltic and balcanic breweries. Could work well for locals (meaning eastern europeans) as a place to get good belgian beer too, as you usually don't find much of it in the area; not for western europe though, you won't find anything you can't easily find elsewhere. Overall more focused on modernist breweries, but they have some good traditional czech and slovak lager breweries too, which is something i always look for. Service was precise and i guess as fast as it can get for the distance (ordered from Italy on sunday evening, got the beer on friday). Everything was well packed and protected; the cardboard was quite soggy (of course that's to blame on rain and delivery service, not on the shop), but everything inside was still fine. The website has been recently renovated: works fast and all the infos are readily avialable; not super handy when it comes to the "filling the cart" part in my opinion, but nothing major really. Good overall experience.
