Visited 15.07.25. Basement venue, with dark brown wood interior. Around six beers on tap. They have a house lager. Otherwise nothing particularly interesting. I first had a IPA which was infected. Luckily the barmaid offered me another beer instead. Cheap prices, but I won’t come back.

From tap at Andersen Pub, Budapest, 15.07.25. Cloudy pale straw colour. Foamy white head. Probably infected, with aroma and taste of brett, acidity and so on. Also some sour tropical fruits. Undrinkable. I changed it for another beer at the bar. Well, if they sell it, I’ll rate it for what it tastes like.

Visited 15.07.25. Small place with indoor and outdoor seating and a DJ, even on a Wednesday evening. The other punters are locals. Six beers of tap, of which half are from local micros. English-speaking informative service.

From tap at Tripla, Hofman, 16.07.25. Clear pale straw colour. White head and lacing. Excellently refreshing aroma and taste of pale malt, papaya, dried papaya, siccade, lemon and lime marmalade, sweet citrus and so on. Very good!

Visited 15.07.25. The (!) ruin bar. An absolute maze of old bricks, tagging, jumbles of oddities, happy-go-lucky twenty-somethings, dancing, bars on two floors and at least one DJ. Dedicated bars for wine and cocktails. Among the other bars I could find a couple of beers from Fehér Nyúl and Horizont. Perhaps not a rating destination, but a unique and must-visit beer destination while in Budapest. Their kitchen do food until 22.45.
