Tulip at Churchkey. Pours a mostly clear gold with some clumpy white head. Nose has a lot of honey and brioche, floral, dandelion. Flavors has malt and grist, still plenty of brioche and honey, sunflowers and dandelions. Simple. At first it was a touch sweet, but as it warmed it grew on me and grew some tannins. Medium bodied, not quite dry.

Sample at Churchkey pours a lemon yellow with a huge cap of white head. Nose is nice, grass, straw, lemon, neutral oak, earthy. Flavor is bright with lemon juice and some green grape, straw, grass, flower petals. Finishes with some nice minerality. Not high acid. Medium bodied.

Sample in DC pours a yellow, starchy pulp, legs, ring of white head. Nose is pretty good, dank, papaya, minty, mango, flowers. Flavor leads with the tropical fruits, mango and papaya, dank, grass. Medium bodied and easier to drink than you'd expect.

Pint in DC. Peppy nose, bright grass and lime zest, fresh herbs, a little melon. Flavor has a nice malt and melon backbone then mint and grass and green citrus layer over the top. Medium bodied, dry with some bitterness.

I fucked up. I ordered a Sabro beer. Its pulp. Nose has some cattiness, grass, but there's something paper and stale. Cakey and coconut. Flavor is more cake and coconut, straw and wheat, raw citrus. Sweet. Overly tropical. Just not my bag.

Pint of pulp in DC. Lacey white head. Nose has gooseberry and grape, citrus curd, starchy sunflower, cheese curd. Flavor is bright citrus, flowers, wheat, dried grass, nice raw pineapple. Medium bodied, spritzy.

Becher of pulp. Rocky white head. Nose is solid, but has a minty note or toothpaste that I associate with Motueka or other new world hops that aren't simcoe. Some wheat, perfume, very floral. Flavor is a bit more clear, citrus arrives along with some pineapple. Grassy, wheaty, light malt too. Finishes medium bodied, a little starch, a little hop burn. 9 7 7 7 7
