For me one proper and honest beer review is more worth than 100 ticks without any relevant content. It’s all about respect for the beer and the craftmanship behind. I will always try to do my best for a proper rating than playing the number game.

Can from Gulating. Slightly unclear golden body under a big, foamy white head. Aroma has malt with distinct caramel and toffee. Taste is sweet malt with roasted, slightly bitter caramel. Not as sweet as expected at all. In the world of extreme sweet pastry beers with artificial flavours this is quite different. More towards a kind of old-fashioned approach, if you put it that way. It does not taste like these typical kind of classic Christmas beer with caramel malt either, this is more like a golden ale or something added with Werther's Original caramel candies. Unusually but quite nice actually. Medium body and a rather dry, caramel finish.

Can @ gunnfryd. Black body under a small beige head. Aroma of dark malt, chocolate, caramel and alcohol. Taste is very sweet with gentle roasted, dark malt, chocolate, caramel, molasses and alcohol. Not much bitterness detected. Full bodied with sweet aftertaste. Way to sweet and too much chocolate/caramel, still actually nice as a pastry stout – kinda balanced with all the extremities.

Can @ gunnfryd. Almost black body under a small beige head. Aroma dominated by peanut butter, but also chocolate, molasses, caramel and alcohol. Taste in the same direction, utterly sweet, malt, peanut cream, molasses, chocolate, brown sugar and boozy alcohol. Way to sweet and artificial for my taste.

Can @ gunnfryd. Unclear yellow golden body under a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits. Taste is sweet, soft malt with plenty of tropical fruits. Lots of fruity flavours and moderate bitterness. Refreshing and quite nice, but also quite one dimensional. Have a strong feeling that this has been written a few times now for Salikatt beers.

Can from Gulating. Clear, deep amber body under a moderate sized tan head. Aroma has dark malt and distinct coffee notes. Good coffee aroma. Taste is medium sweet, mild, dark malt, hint of chocolate and a nice coffee flavour. Relatively light bodied and very easy drinkable, almost refreshing with a nice coffee finish. Not expecting such a nice coffee porter at this low ABV, quite impressive actually. Not in a heavy way, but more like some kind of thirst quenching coffee flavour.
