While visiting the 16th century Tudor warship I was delighted to find in the gift shop a number of local beers, 3 of which were formed of a gift pack from Powder Monkey, all were new to me despite having visited the brewery 15 months ago. Entry fee to this warship and the others ships is pricey but it's worth it and there are combination tickets available.

Robust British Porter from Loose Cannon Brewery

500ml bottle from the brewery. Pours black with a white head. Aromas & tastes of dark chocolate, expresso & malt. Medium body. Smooth finish.

440ml can from Waitrose in Jersey. Pours a dark red/brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of blackberry, pear, strawberry, cinnamon & vanilla. Medium body. Tart finish.

City centre taproom for the local brewery. Choice of around 6 kegged & 1 cask beers, all of their own. Also have a fridge which I didn't have time to look in.

We ate in the restaurant next door, good selection of different styles of kegged beers from different breweries. Excellent smoked meat & good service.

Two story good size central brewpub with a good selection of their own decent beers on cask & keg. Sunday afternoon, low key with families eating food & watching the football on big screens.
