Sample pour at the brewery. Opaque black with thin head, trace lacing. Aroma is lactose, roasted malt. Taste is strong lactose, sweet malts. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Overall, lactose is too prominent.

Pint on tap at the brewery. Hazy dark brown, light sparkle, nice head with excellent retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong bittersweet coffee and sweet roasted malts. Taste is strong bitter coffee, dark/baker’s chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and bitter finish. Good strength.

Part of a flight at the brewery. Virtually opaque dark brown with ring of head and tons of nice lacing. Aroma is strong, lightly roasted malt. Taste is lightly roasted sweet malt, mild toffee, light milk chocolate. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste.

Part of a flight at the brewery. Opaque dark yellow with ring of head and nice rings of lacing. Aroma is citrus, stone fruit, cracker. Taste is strong citrus over stone fruit. Smooth frothy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste.
