440ml can [courtesy of Claudius - thank you very much!]. Quasi black colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, minimally bready, dark malty and slightly caramel malty aroma, notes of coffee, hints of cocoa, pumpernickel, dark caramel, a touch of coffee surrogate, weak, ashy overtones. Taste is roasty, minimally ashy, dark malty and slightly sweet-ish, minimally bready, caramel malty, notes of coffee, some pumpernickel, dark caramel, dry cocoa, a touch of treacle, some roasty bitterness, a minimally metallic touch.
Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation.
Quite rich and intense, pretty classic flavours - Halsnæs's best effort so far.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with huge, frothy, osteoporosing, moderately lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity, slightly vinous fruity and slightly resinous, hoppy aroma, wheaty and slightly oaty malty background, notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, some melon and pineapple, white grapes, overtones of sweat and purulence, egg nog. Taste is mildly bitter, citrusy fruity and resinous, slightly vinous fruity hoppy, minimally diluted notes of orange, lemon, some mandarine, pineapple, melon, white graoes, overtones of egg nog and purulence.
Slightly creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously dry palate, medium, dense, soft, mildly prickly carbonation.
Intense, manifold, some "borderline" flavours - not bad.

500ml bottle [2021 vintage]. Hazy, dark amber to brown colour with small, frothy to creamy, fading, tan head. Minimally sugary, caramel malty and alcoholic, fruity aroma, notes of alcohol soaked dried fruit, raisin, plum, date, fig. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, caramel malty, minimally toasty malty and fruity alcoholic, notes of caramel, dried fruit, alcohol soaked dried fruit, fig, date, plum, raisin; slightly warming, alcoholic finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation.
Sweet and fruity, a tad monotonous - nice.

750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy, diminishing, barely lacing, white to pale sulphureous head. Mildly bretty, funky, yeasty and woody, minimally yeasty fruity aroma, rather neutral malty background, notes of mild brett, oak, hints of fudge, a touch of cherry and red berries. Taste is pale malty with some residual sweetness, mildly bretty, funky yeasty, slightly woody and minimally yeasty fruity, minimally leafy hoppy, hints of fudge, oak, brett, a touch of cherry and red berries; minimally earthy, leafy hoppy finish, oak is still present, some toasted oak, even vanilla.
Watery texture, slightly dry, minimally astringent palate, medium, prickly carbonation.
Nice composition, mild and balanced,some nice subtleties - enjoyable.

330ml bottle. Cloudy orange golden colour with average, firm, frothy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Slightly starchy, pale malty and minimally hoppy aroma. Taste is moderately bitter, minimally fruity hoppy, sweet-ish, pale malty basis, hints of peach, mandarine, a touch of orange peel.
Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and slightly dry palate, medium, dense, prickly to lively carbonation.
Rather simple, relatively hoppy OK.

Taste is roasty and chocolately, dark malty, slightly fruity and smoky, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, couverture, chocolate sauce, plum, smoked plum.
Creamy to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, soft to flat carbonation.
Very nice composition, harmonious and balanced, well adjusted smokiness - good!
