Can't believe I haven't had this before but here we are. Pint on tap at brewpub, Manly. Pours black (really really black) with a medium sized creamy head. Nose of coffee and chocolate, quite strong aroma. Medium body, smooth texture. Solid lacing. The coffee is subdued in this, the chocolate is just a hint. Very drinkable with a light lingering bitterness. Not bad.

Pint on tap at brewpub, Manly. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Nose is lightly sweet and grainy. Nice lacing. Sparkling on the tongue. Light body, taste follows nose. Sweet with a touch of grain. Finish is a touch sour but right on style. Nice easy drinking Kolsch.

Pint on tap at Club Rivers, Riverwood. Translucent amber beer with a thin white head. Mild nose of malt and corn. Sweet taste, slight zing. Nice lacing. Finish has more fizz and a light bitterness. Bog standard pale ale really, still not sure what an XPA is.

Pint on tap at Club Rivers, Riverwood. Golden amber beer, slight haze with a solid white head. Tiny slow bubbles ascend. Fresh lightly fruity nose, some background caramel. Nice sequential lacing. Bitter and refreshing, a hint of cashew. Finish is lingering bitterness. Dare I say old-fashioned bitterness? Very cleansing, refreshing, good. More fruit and less grain than I expect from a Pils.

Pint on tap at 4 pines, Darling Harbour. Hazy amber, creamy head. Tropical fruit nose, some bitterness. Lightly carbonated, full body. Very smooth, easy drinking in the Sydney sunshine. Very pleasant creamy, fruity pale ale. Exorbitant price at this venue though.

Pint on tap at brewery. Clear amber beer with medium carbonation, thin head. Nose is sour. Surprisingly not frothy. Pretty much on style, refreshing, light, slightly sour. Very easy to drink.
