Deeply underachieving beer snob. I'll occasionally have a drink, and when I do I want it to be a good one. Oh, and if I give a detailed rating on a beer, rather than a quick tick, you can ignore the specifics. I don't need to judge appearance, or whatever. I just don't want to leave a rating rounded to the nearest .5, like the quick tick limits you to.

Can from the Newfoundland liquor store in St. John's. First though, I glanced at the previous reviewers. 12K beers reviewed? Ok. 22k? 25K? 30K! Wait, what? 85K!! Crazy! Ok, Ok. This beer is quite nice..some hay malts supporting a handful of laco funk – a little stone fruit, socks, some slight aserbic bite that lingers. Really, really nice. I appreciate the straight, non-fruited sour. Thanks for this one rough waters.

Been avoiding rating all the beers here in Newfoundland, I don't want to spend my time on the phone. But this was an excellent beer. Drank subtly on the North Trail of Signal Hill. Really the perfect spot. Strong flavors of Resin And Floral hops, or a sweet malt base with touches of booze. Really delicious. Wish I had this at home.

Draft at the brewery. Case of slightly bitter sourness up front, with decent natural cherry. Mild sweetness builds on the finish. Decent.

Calm Tom's Double IPA from Quidi Vidi Brewing Company was the one that did it!

Draft at the brewery. Mild resin with a little boosiness backed by a strong lingering bitterness. You can see the bready sweet malt peeking out. Not wowed.
