Deeply underachieving beer snob. I'll occasionally have a drink, and when I do I want it to be a good one. Oh, and if I give a detailed rating on a beer, rather than a quick tick, you can ignore the specifics. I don't need to judge appearance, or whatever. I just don't want to leave a rating rounded to the nearest .5, like the quick tick limits you to.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a mildly cloudy blonde with a bunch of fluffy white head that's stubborn. So waiting for that to settle down. ....dum de dum.....fa la la... good enough! Taste is fairly sweet doughy malt, with pine, some light resin and bitterness that lingers. Some citrus pith too, in the finish. It's okay. The balance feel a little off with its sweetness.

Honestly this feels like another beer than my peers, or the brewery's description. I'm getting some funk on this, a little pepper, a little bitterness, over bright hay malt, mildly sweet, vague stone fruit, pretty clean finsih. It's great. Is this what everyone else is getting? Did a get a mislabed can? Did a bug get in there? If so do it again. Can from the brewery.

Decently thick grassy malt, mildly sweet. Watery chocolate notes that hold throughout, with lingering bitterness. Can from St. Jacob's Market.

Ya.....so it's past spring,.past summer infact, and well into fall. My wife bought this one at the St. Jacobs Market, but I'm just getting to it now. I've stored it well, at least. Taste of sweet syrupy, but not overwhelming, grassy malt, a sharp bitterness that rides throughout, chocolate and some grapefruit. Balance isn't great

Pours a slightly cloudy golden, with a finger of solid fluffy white head. Taste is plain straw malt that works to support solid citrus and grapefruit, both zest and some pithy bitterness, some vauge resin. Finish is mild sweetness balanced by a lingering citrus bitterness. Great balance. Good beer. Can from the brewery.
