Oh, and if I give a detailed rating on a beer, rather than a quick tick, you can ignore the specifics. I don't need to judge appearance, or whatever. I just don't want to leave a rating rounded to the nearest .5, like the quick tick limits you to.

The brewed and canned in Toronto version. Can LCBO. Wow Thick roasted malt, sweetness, a bit of booze, nuttiness a pastry richness. Excellent.

Bottle from the LCBO here in Toronto. Decently thick malt, with a mild sweetness, toasty hay, with mild bitterness on top. A nice example of the style.

Can from LCBO. Cloudy blonde with a decent layer of soapy head. Sweet mild malt base, hop up front with clementine citrus, moderate resin, some....cilantro? Pretty clean finish. Decent.

High hopes for this one, but taste is thin dry hay malts mildly sweet, a little orange, but really I'm burying the lead as there is a solid bitter off flavour over the whole thing. Bad bottle? Bottle from the LCBO

Can from the LCBO. Taste jumps right into the hops. Bitter, some resin, a touch of chocolate, over barely noticeable sweet malt. Bitterness lingers. It's a pretty angry beer, but tasty.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a mildly cloudy blonde with a bunch of fluffy white head that's stubborn. So waiting for that to settle down. ....dum de dum.....fa la la... good enough! Taste is fairly sweet doughy malt, with pine, some light resin and bitterness that lingers. Some citrus pith too, in the finish. It's okay. The balance feel a little off with its sweetness.
