Deeply underachieving beer snob. I'll occasionally have a drink, and when I do I want it to be a good one. Oh, and if I give a detailed rating on a beer, rather than a quick tick, you can ignore the specifics. I don't need to judge appearance, or whatever. I just don't want to leave a rating rounded to the nearest .5, like the quick tick limits you to.

A really excellent, and drinkable, gose. Nose is primarily lime, with mild wheaty background. Taste is up front lime, with a mild sour/tartness, with a netural sweetness. Over a vague bready malt, and that salt touch in the finish. Very satisfying. Can from the brewery.

I've been waiting for the right moment to drink this beer, and the time is now. Pours a nice pink, with yellow undertones, thanks to that prickly pear. Head to a ring, with some fairly low carbonation. Some nice funky notes on the nose, a little tropical fruit too. Taste is very tropical fruit juice, fairly mild malt, with the sourness coming as pith, and a little funkiness but not that strong. Wondering if I'm doing this beer a disservice, the bottle is marked July 2024. I feel should have hit this one fresher.

I definitely see what they're going for here. Pores a thick caramel slightly cloudy pour with a sheet of head and lacing. Nose is nice and bready, you can get some of the esters. Taste, you can see the tripel they were going for, with a dense mildly syrup-sweet bready malt with a little ester, a vague wave of booze. And here is the twist, a hoppiness. Not strong, but a little resin, but mostly bitter on the finish. Love the idea, but the hop finish is off, leaning more bitter than needed. Something more perfumy, or pine would have served better. I wanted to give this guy a try. Four is a friendly light yellow hazy with some tight bubbled Whitehead that sheets. Taste is hop-heavy - resinous, slight pine, with some bitterness lingering in the finish. The malt is dry hay but very thin not really supporting the hop profile. It's decent for what it is, but feels thin. Can LCBO

Forza cloudy golden blonde with slight pink tinge. Nose is very sweet and fruity. Taste is heavy tropical fruits lots of juiciness, quite sweet as you would expect from the lactose. The sour is very slight as a Counterpoint to the sweetness. Not the best balance beer ever it's a little too sweet. But amusing. Picked up on the clearance shelf at the LCBO at weston and 401
